The employer must implement their prevention measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Orange alert<\/strong> : prolonged heatwave period, with health risks for the entire exposed population. In the construction sector, this threshold also entitles workers to compensation for work stoppages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Red alert<\/strong> Extreme heatwave with a high health impact. The level of demand is at its maximum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As soon as a yellow alert is issued (even for a simple two-day \u00abheat spike\u00bb), the employer enters a regime of active obligations. They can no longer be content with just opening windows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The employer's concrete obligations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The decree explicitly lists the measures that the employer must implement during a period of intense heat. These obligations cover several areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Workspace and workplace layout<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Modification of the layout to reduce thermal exposure, installation of solar protection on exposed surfaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The organization of work<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adapting schedules, introducing breaks, rotating operators on the most exposed positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Technical means of refreshment<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The text explicitly mentions fans and misters as expected equipment. Failure to update this document constitutes a documented breach, which can engage the employer's liability in case of an accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The most exposed sectors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not all sectors are equally affected by heat. Environments that combine external heat and internal thermal production concentrate the greatest risks: metallurgical production workshops, foundries, industrial bakeries, logistics warehouses with metal roofs, printing houses, laundries, and poorly ventilated call centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Outdoor workers (construction, agriculture, forestry) also benefit from specific reinforced provisions in the decree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A particularly complex case deserves attention: ATEX (Explosive Atmospheres) classified environments. In these zones, excessive heat combined with the wearing of restrictive anti-static PPE significantly aggravates the physiological risk for operators. However, the majority of cooling solutions available on the market (standard industrial fans, conventional mobile air conditioners) are not certified for use in explosive zones. Ces obligations couvrent plusieurs registres. L&rsquo;am\u00e9nagement des postes et des lieux de travail Modification de l&rsquo;agencement pour r\u00e9duire l&rsquo;exposition thermique, mise en place de protection solaire sur les surfaces expos\u00e9es. L&rsquo;organisation du travail Adaptation des horaires, introduction de pauses, rotation des op\u00e9rateurs sur les postes les plus expos\u00e9s. Les moyens techniques de rafra\u00eechissement Le texte cite explicitement les ventilateurs et brumisateurs parmi les \u00e9quipements attendus. L&rsquo;absence de mise \u00e0 jour de ce document constitue un manquement document\u00e9, susceptible d&rsquo;engager la responsabilit\u00e9 de l&#8217;employeur en cas d&rsquo;accident. Les secteurs les plus expos\u00e9s Tous les secteurs ne se valent pas face \u00e0 la chaleur. Les environnements qui cumulent chaleur ext\u00e9rieure et production thermique interne concentrent les risques les plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s : ateliers de production m\u00e9tallurgique, fonderies, boulangeries industrielles, entrep\u00f4ts logistiques sous toit m\u00e9tallique, imprimeries, blanchisseries, centres d&rsquo;appels mal ventil\u00e9s.
